Exam Taker Clean-Up

March 28, 2017 Sofia Morales

Prior to a new semester or academic period, you will need to import your new students for the following semester, but we also recommend removing your withdrawn and/or graduated students from your database. To ensure that the only active accounts in your database are for current exam takers, you may wish to conduct what we call a deactivation. This is typically completed at the end of your contract periods. Don't worry, all historical exam data remains intact!

You have three options for Exam Taker account deactivations, you can:

  • Deactivate individual Exam Taker accounts
  • Deactivate your entire database of Exam Taker accounts
  • Deactivate accounts by Exam Taker groups

By deactivating and reimporting your student list, you are able to restart your new academic period with a fresh list and an accurate number of active exam taker accounts. You may also wish to deactivate withdrawn students to remove their access from the testing application.

Deactivate an individual Exam Taker account

1. Go to Exam Takers tab

2. Search for exam taker by Name, ID, or Email

3. Select the red x button in the Actions column

Deactivate your entire database of Exam Taker accounts

1. Go to Exam Takers tab

2. Select all Exam Takers using the checkbox above the first column

3. Scroll down and click Deactivate Selected

4. Confirm your selection to inactive Exam Takers

Deactivate accounts by Exam Taker groups

The same steps above apply except you need to filter the list to include your Exam Taker Groups prior to selecting the accounts to deactivate.

1. Go to Exam Takers tab

2. Click Advanced Search

3. Select your Exam Taker Group from the drop down, click Search and proceed with Steps 2-4 from above
